I think I liked Asuka as soon as I saw her, though perhaps it was after seeing her whole trail I liked her even more.

I can't explain it. She's just Asuka. She has a deep personality, she's a kick ass pilot, and she's beautiful. She's just... great.

The first scene no the deck of the 'Over the Rainbow' when she slapped the hell out of Touji, not just the slap itself, but the whole interaction with Touji...

Biggest reason you like Asuka:
A complex character, Asuka turns an anime cliche on it's head by presenting a realistic background and a frail interior, which she overcompensates for by typical overachieving behavior. Asuka is finally able to overcome her inner demons.-and is mercilessly destroyed by destiny anyway, a fate worthy of any tragic hero. Plus, she's a redhead. And I really like redheads.

During what scene did you first start to like Asuka:
Episode 8, immediately after she meets the boys.

Her strength and determination. How can you not love someone who keeps fighting, even after they've been lanced, had their eye poked out, lost both arms, and had their intestines ripped out? In the words of Tiffany Grant, "Let's face it--the gal's got balls."

Pretty much the entirety of ep. 22. Until I saw that, I thought she was nothing more than a stuck-up bitch. How wrong I was...
